La Calera Mountains Horseback Riding or Hiking Route

Immerse yourself in Bogota's natural landscape on a tour through the La Calera mountains and enjoy stunning landscapes by horseback or hiking!

Options

When you make your reservation, you can choose one of the following options. Both include transportation from the Avenida Chile Shopping Mall in Bogota, a guide, and snacks.

Horseback riding (4 hours)

After meeting at the appointed time, we'll leave for the La Calera region. Once we arrive, we'll walk for about five minutes to where our horses are waiting. There, we'll become familiar with our horses and learn about our route. Then, we will put on helmets and begin the ride!

We will tackle trails with little inclination, leading us deeper into the lush vegetation before reaching the open country. Here, we will enjoy panoramic views of the San Rafael reservoir and the small town of La Calera.

We will have a small snack break featuring a typical Colombian snack amidst the tranquil La Calera landscape. Following the break, we'll return our horses and head back to Bogota, concluding our activity 4 hours later at the initial meeting point.

Hiking route (5 hours)

Alternatively, you can choose to hike the route described above. You can expect a tranquil, low-difficulty hiking route.

Similar to the horseback riding option, a snack break will be provided, allowing us to enjoy views of the San Rafael reservoir and La Calera. The hiking route offers a closer look at the region's diverse flora and fauna.
