On this guided tour, you'll visit the Gold Museum and discover La Candelaria, the historical neighbourhood in Bogotá.
Tour Details
We'll meet at the entrance to the Gold Museum to start the guided tour. The first stop is the church of San Francisco, followed by the Archaeological Museum Casa del Marqués de San Jorge, and finally, the Gold Museum of Bogotá, where you will see a collection of golden pieces from ancient pre-Colombian civilizations such as the Muiscas and Calimas.
The tour includes a visit to the Plaza de Bolivar, known for its architecture, including the Primatial Cathedral of Bogotá, the Capitolio Nacional, and the Lievano Palace, which houses the City Hall.
Next, we'll explore La Candelaria and 10th Street of the Colony, observing the Colegio San Bartolomé and the houses of Manuelita Saenz, Bolívar, and Viceroy Sámano.
We'll conclude our tour with a visit to the Botero Museum featuring works donated by Fernando Botero, after approximately 4 or 5 hours of sightseeing.
