Description
The adventure begins at the Cranky Croc Hostel. Departing from Bogotá, we will first enjoy a traditional breakfast before heading to the Páramo de Sumapaz. Upon arrival at an altitude of over 3500 meters (11,500 feet), we will explore nearly half a million acres of unique flora and fauna, including sightings of Andean bears, deer, eagles, and condors. This will include a hiking adventure through the stunning landscapes.
Additionally, the region holds indigenous traditions with ancient rites and rituals predating Spanish arrival. We will stop at two viewpoints for panoramic views of the Frailejones Valley and the glacial lagoons of the páramo. After our hike, we will visit a farmhouse for fruit snacks.
The journey concludes with a return to Bogotá, approximately eight hours after pickup.
