Salt Cathedral of Zipaquirá Day Trip

On our day trip to the Salt Cathedral of Zipaquirá, we'll discover one of the fascinating underground monuments in the world.

Day Trip Details

We'll meet at the pickup point in Bogotá and travel north to Zipaquirá. The journey will take approximately 1.5 to 2 hours.

Once there, you'll have 2 hours of free time in the Salt Cathedral, located 590 feet (180 metres) underground. Inside, you can admire sculptures and crosses made from salt alongside marble elements. The temperature does not exceed 15º C (59º F). Highlights include the choir, the Stations of the Cross, and the water mirrors. The temple was named the first of the Seven Wonders of Colombia in 2007 for its geological adaptation.

Next, you will have 1 hour in Zipaquirá for lunch and to explore the historic center, including the Cathedral of the Holy Trinity and colonial-style buildings.

Finally, we will return to Bogotá.
