Cheese Factory Visit, Tasting & Workshop

Tour Details

At the indicated time, we'll meet at Minas Street, in Bolaños de Calatrava. Once together, we'll visit a cheese factory and participate in a cheese-making workshop.

We will begin by putting on appropriate attire for the factory tour and receive initial tips on the techniques used in the production of Castilla-La Mancha's flagship product. During the workshop, we will follow essential steps, including filtering and pasteurization.

While waiting for the cheese to be ready, we'll tour the cheese factory's facilities to learn about this dairy product, its origins, and the varieties made in Bolaños. The visit will conclude with a tasting of different types of cheese from the factory.

Upon returning to the cheese workshop, we will perform the turning and molding of the cheese, ultimately creating our own cheese.

Finally, a snack will be provided as we conclude the visit to the factory of Bolaños de Calatrava, which lasts 3 hours.
