Cheese Factory Visit, Tasting & Workshop

Do you want to know the secrets of Castilla-La Mancha's star product? In this tour, we'll visit a cheese factory in Bolaños de Calatrava and do a workshop with tasting. You don't want to miss it!

Tour Details

At the indicated time, we'll meet at Minas Street, in Bolaños de Calatrava. Once together, we'll visit a cheese factory and participate in a cheese-making workshop.

We'll begin by putting on the proper attire for the factory tour and receive tips on the production techniques of Castilla-La Mancha’s flagship product. During the workshop, we'll cover steps such as filtering and pasteurization.

While the cheese is maturing, we will tour the factory's facilities to learn about the dairy product, its origins, and the local varieties produced in Bolaños. We will conclude with a tasting of different cheese types from the factory.

After returning to the workshop, we'll perform the turning and molding of the cheese and have our own cheese. Finally, we will enjoy a snack and conclude the visit after 3 hours.
