Join us on this guided tour of the Blue Lake Grotto, one of Bonito's natural attractions. This site features an underground spring in a cave declared a National Heritage Site.
Blue Lake Grotto Guided Tour
We will meet at Frida Garzella dos Santos road, 22 kilometres from Bonito's center. From there, we will follow a path to the entrance of the Blue Lake cave, which is partially concealed by jungle vegetation.
Prepare to enter the cave, where we will don safety helmets and descend 300 steps into the grotto. Inside, we will observe numerous stalactites and stalagmites formed over thousands of years.
As we descend further into the grotto, you will see the underground lake with its striking indigo waters, which led to its name. This remarkable site was declared a National Historic and Artistic Heritage Site in 1978.
You will have time to take photos of the cave's spring before ascending the stairs back to the surface.
After an hour and 20 minutes, the guided tour will conclude at the starting location.
