In this trekking route of the Cascadas Escondidas? waterfalls, we'll escape from the city to discover beautiful waterfalls in the Panamanian jungle.
Description
At the indicated time, we'll meet at the Plaza de los Establos and, from this point in Boquete, we'll head towards the district of Bajo Mono.
After a 30-minute drive, we'll arrive at the beginning of our hiking route. This route measures around 4.5 kilometres (2.7 miles) and leads through the Panama Jungle to the area of the Cascadas Escondidas waterfalls.
We'll embark on a journey along a trail that meanders through the mystical cloud forest. This path was once trodden by pre-Columbian indigenous communities who sought gold hidden in the lagoons of this region. From these lagoons, they sourced clay, important for crafting pottery.
We'll climb a steep slope to a set of 3 waterfalls within the jungle. Here, you can marvel at the water features, take some photographs, and jump in for a refreshing dip.
From here, we'll walk back to the beginning of the trail, where a vehicle will be waiting to take us back to the meeting point in Boquete. We'll arrive back at the meeting point 3-4 hours after pickup.
