Bordeaux City Bike Tour
We'll meet at the designated time on Rue du Jardin Public in Bordeaux. After a brief technical talk, we'll start the bicycle tour of Bordeaux and its main districts. Our first stop will be in front of the Palais Gallien, the remains of the ancient Roman amphitheatre. On the way to the Notre-Dame Church, we'll pass in front of the Galerie des Grands Hommes.
We will continue to the Saint-André Cathedral, declared a World Heritage Site, where we'll learn about its history. Afterward, we'll visit the Tribunal Judiciaire, a prime example of Bordeaux's Neoclassical architecture.
Next, we'll cycle to the Grosse Cloche, one of the city's symbols, and stop in the historic district of Saint-Michel, located on the banks of the Garonne River, home to the UNESCO World Heritage Site, Saint-Michel Basilica.
We will cross the Pont de Pierre, the oldest bridge in Bordeaux, to reach the Quai des Queyries for views of the riverbank. Afterward, we'll visit Darwin, an alternative space with street art and shops, providing 20 minutes of free time to rest.
Continuing, we'll reach the Pont Jacques Chaban-Delmas, the tallest suspension bridge in France, stopping at the Cité du Vin to admire its unique design. The final stretch includes the Quai des Chartrons, Rue Notre-Dame, and Cours Xavier Arnozan, where we'll conclude this 3-hour bike tour after cycling 14 km (8.6 mi).
