Discover the beautiful region where some of the best wines in France are produced with this Medoc Wine Tour. You'll visit a châteaux and taste some great wines.
Tour Options
During the booking process, you'll be able to choose between two options: the morning tour or the afternoon tour. Both tours last 4.5 hours and include an English-speaking guide and an exclusive wine tasting.
Below are the itineraries for each option:
Morning Tour (3.5 Hours)
Meet at the designated time in front of the Monument aux Girondins in Place des Quinconces to begin the Médoc wine route.
During the drive, the guide will provide information about the wines of the region. The tour includes a visit to a Château winery, where you'll see how Grand Cru Classé wines are produced. You'll tour the vineyards and underground cellars, learning about different varieties. The visit concludes with a tasting of 2 or 3 local wines with traditional French apéritifs.
The tour will also include a drive through the Médoc region, featuring the vineyards and a stop at Château Margaux before returning to Bordeaux.
Afternoon Tour (4.5 Hours)
Meet at the Monument aux Girondins and depart for the Médoc region.
During the 40-minute drive, the guide will share insights into the significance of Médoc. The tour includes a wine-tasting workshop where participants will learn to identify different aromas and flavors.
After the workshop, the tour continues with a visit to a château cellar known for Grand Cru Classé wines. You'll tour the vineyard and winery, possibly visiting Château Marquis de Terme, Château Desmirail, or Château Dauzac. The tour concludes with a tasting of three or four wines paired with fresh bread and regional delicacies.
Important: From April 1, 2025, an additional tasting at a family winery will be included.
