In this free tour of Bordeaux, we'll enjoy a route filled with must-sees! Explore the capital of Nouvelle-Aquitaine and take a stroll through the Old Bordeaux and Saint-Michel neighborhoods.
Description
Meet at the designated time on Chapeau-Rouge Street, next to the Grand Theater of Bordeaux. From here, we'll head down Allées Tournys to visit the Cervantes Institute, the Dijeaux Gate, and Gambetta Square.
We'll then proceed to the Museum of Decorative Arts and Design, admire the luxurious Hotel de Ville, and visit the Saint-André Cathedral.
Next, we'll head to Fernand Lafargue Square and enter the center of Bordeaux, leading us to the Grosse Cloche monument. After admiring this 18th-century bell, we'll continue along Victor Hugo Street towards the Basilica of Saint-Michel.
The route will continue through the Capuchins Market. From there, we'll walk along the banks of the Garonne River, passing by the Bourgogne Gate, the Stone Bridge, and the Cailhau Gate.
To finish, we'll stop at the Lumières Gardens near the Quays of Bordeaux to conclude our 2.5-hour tour.
