Saint-Emilion Day Trip + Visit to the Monolithic Church + Wine Tasting

On this trip to Saint-Émilion from Bordeaux , we will visit the iconic Monolithic Church and enjoy a wine tasting at a local winery.

Description

Pickup will be at your hotel in Bordeaux, and we will head towards the medieval town of Saint-Émilion. The journey takes approximately 40 minutes, during which we will learn about the region and its wines.

Upon arrival in Saint-Émilion, we will embark on a walking tour of its historic center, a World Heritage Site. We will first visit the Trinity Chapel, observing its Romanesque and Gothic styles along with medieval paintings.

Next, we will explore the Monolithic Church, an underground church constructed by over 50 monks, where we will see impressive vaults and pillars in its catacombs.

After our underground visit, we will proceed to a local winery for a tasting of 3 Grand Cru wines, where we will learn about their production and origins.

We will conclude the trip with our return to Bordeaux after a total of 5 hours.

This activity includes pickup from hotels in the centre of Bordeaux. For those outside this area, pickup will be at the designated time from the Tourist Office In Bordeaux, located at Place des Quinconces.
