Saint Emilion Vineyards Bike Tour

Description

At the designated time, we'll meet in front of the Monument aux Girondins in Bordeaux. From there, we'll take a minibus to the neighbouring town of Saint Emilion, where the rest of the group will be waiting.

Once we've arrived, you'll receive your bikes, and we'll begin our tour through Saint Emilion's vineyards.

Throughout the day, we will learn about the winemaking traditions in Aquitaine and the merlot grape. We will visit two main châteaux converted into wineries, where we will taste five of their best wines.

At midday, we will have a picnic lunch in the gardens of one of the castles. After lunch, we'll cycle to the centre of Saint Emilion for a short guided tour of the ancient medieval village, a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

After a final wine tasting, we'll return the bikes and get back on the minibus to head back to Bordeaux, concluding the tour after a total of 8.5 hours.
