Upon making your reservation, you can select between two unique itineraries. Both options include hotel pickup in Boticas at 9 am, a knowledgeable English-speaking guide, and a return transfer:

Excursion to Chaves, Boticas, & Montalegre

Your journey begins with pickup at your hotel in Boticas, leading you into the stunning landscapes of Tras-os-Montes, specifically the captivating region known as Alto Tamega. Here, you'll explore delightful small villages that are sure to charm you.

The first destination will be Montalegre, renowned for its remarkable 13th-century fortress. At the base of this castle lies the Ecomuseu de Barroso - Espaço Padre Fontes, showcasing exhibits that highlight both the historical and environmental significance of the area.

After absorbing the museum's offerings, the trip continues back to Boticas for a visit to the Rural Museum. Following this, you will have a full hour to enjoy a delightful lunch. Post-meal, we’ll proceed to Chaves where you'll explore its notable medieval castle and delve into its Roman history, including thermal baths and the impressive stone bridge.

Finally, we will transport you back to your hotel in Boticas by 5 pm.

Excursion to Chaves, Valpaços, & Vila Pouca de Aguiar

This alternative allows you to explore Chaves, similar to the previous option, while also uncovering the noteworthy sites of Trás-os-Montes.

Your journey will take you through Vila Pouca de Aguiar, where you can enjoy a visit to the Parque de Pedras Salgadas, a scenic park filled with unusual stone formations. Next, you'll head to Valpaços, famous for its Wine Museum, where you can learn about the rich winemaking heritage of the region. You have the flexibility to choose which areas you wish to explore!
