Our adventure begins with pickup from your hotel in Muscat, heading northwest into the Arabian Peninsula. A scenic hour-long drive brings us to Nakhl, a village in the Al Batinah region.

Upon arrival, we visit the largest fortress in Oman, constructed in the 17th century. Perched on a rocky surface, the fortress showcases a pre-Islamic architectural style influenced by the Al Ya'ruba and Al Bu Sayed dynasties. From its summit, enjoy views of Nakhl and its surroundings.

Next, we explore the hidden spring behind the castle, nestled within a palm grove, revealing the source of the oasis—thermal waters that nourish the local plantations.

Returning to Muscat along the coastal route, we stop at the Seeb souk and Avenue Mall for shopping in the capital.
