Nizwa, Birkat Al Mawz + Jabreen Full-Day Tour

This 9-hour tour of Nizwa offers an in-depth experience of significant castles in the Arabian Peninsula, starting from Muscat.

Itinerary

We will pick you up from your hotel in Muscat and travel to the interior of the Arabian Peninsula to explore the emblematic castles of Oman.

The first stop is Birkat Al Mawz, an abandoned town from the 17th century located at the foot of Jebel Akhdar Mountain, known for its enchanting atmosphere.

Next, we'll visit the historic center of Nizwa, Oman’s cultural capital, where we will spend one hour exploring. Activities include viewing the exterior of the fortress known for its 360-degree cannon tower and a walk around the souk market. We’ll also stop at a local restaurant to rest and have a meal.

Subsequently, we will travel to Jabrin Castle, built in the 17th century and notable for its well-preserved structure, carved wooden doors, and beautiful ceiling.

Finally, we will return to Muscat, making a stop at Oman Avenue Mall for souvenir shopping or refreshments, before dropping you off at your hotel.
