Nizwa, Birkat Al Mawz + Jabreen Full-Day Tour

This 9-hour tour of Nizwa allows you to explore significant castles of the Arabian Peninsula and an abandoned town.

Itinerary

We will pick you up from your hotel in Muscat and head to the interior of the Arabian Peninsula to visit iconic castles of Oman.

The first destination will be Birkat Al Mawz, an abandoned town from the 17th century located at the foot of Jebel Akhdar Mountain.

Next, we will visit the historic centre of Nizwa, spending one hour there. You will see the exterior of the fortress known for its 360-degree cannon tower and have time to explore the souk market. Afterward, we will stop at a local restaurant for a meal.

Then, we will proceed to Jabrin Castle, built in the 17th century and notable for its well-preserved structure and intricately carved wooden doors and beams. Pay attention to the ceiling's design.

Finally, we will return to Muscat, stopping at Oman Avenue Mall for souvenir shopping or refreshments before dropping you off at your hotel.
