Join us for a two-and-a-half-hour free tour that examines the defining chapters influencing Bratislava's identity. Hear narratives related to the Second World War, the National Uprising, the Iron Curtain border, injustices of communism, and the rich history of Bratislava.
Meeting point is at Franciscan Square, known as the heart of the Slovak capital. The tour proceeds to the Square of the Slovak National Uprising (SNP), which witnessed pivotal historical moments related to the struggle for independence.
Next, we stop at the last synagogue in Bratislava to discuss the Holocaust trials and persecutions.
We then head to the inverted pyramid, a colloquial term for the radio building, notable for its architecture from the era of Czechoslovak socialism.
The tour continues through Liberty Square to the Grassalkovich Palace, the President's official residence. Finally, you'll see the UFO Tower, shaped like a UFO and supporting the world's seventh-longest suspension bridge.
