Join us for a two-and-a-half-hour free tour highlighting the defining chapters influencing Bratislava's identity. Listen to narratives related to the Second World War, the National Uprising, the Iron Curtain border, and the injustices of communism.
Meet at Franciscan Square, the heart of the Slovak capital. We will walk to the Square of the Slovak National Uprising (SNP), a pivotal area in the struggle for independence.
Next, we will visit the front of the last synagogue in Bratislava, discussing the Holocaust trials and persecutions during that time.
Our route includes the "inverted pyramid," the radio building, showcasing architecture from the era of Czechoslovak socialism.
We will continue through Liberty Square to pause at the Grassalkovich Palace, the President's official residence, and admire the iconic UFO Tower, part of the world's seventh-longest suspension bridge.
