On this day trip to Zilina and Mala Fatra National Park, we'll visit the capital of northwestern Slovakia and a location in the Western Carpathian mountain range.
Day Trip Details
At the designated time, we'll meet at the Bratislava Central Station, where your high-speed train will depart for Zilina.
After arrival at Zilina station, we will proceed to the Vrátna Valley in Mala Fatra National Park. You will enjoy northern Slovakia's landscapes while learning about the region.
Upon arrival, we will board the cable car to Snilovske Peak, at an altitude of 1524 meters. At the top, we will take a walk and admire the views of the Mala Fatra National Park.
Next, we will descend to visit Terchova, known for its folk traditions. It has been part of the Unesco World Heritage list since 2013. We'll explore the church of Saints Cyril and Methodius to learn about its history.
A break will follow at a local restaurant for lunch, including a starter and a main course.
We will then travel to Zilina for a guided tour of the historic center, visiting the Holy Trinity Cathedral, Budatín Castle, Mariánske Square, and Rosenfeld Palace.
Finally, we will return to the train station in Zilina for your train back to Bratislava. The tour will conclude after 13.5 hours of sightseeing at the starting point.
