Yorkín Indigenous Community: 2 Day Tour

Day 1: Bribri - Yorkín Indigenous Community

On the first day, we'll meet at 9 am in the Bribri Talamanca Indigenous Territory. Our guide will take us to board a canoe for about an hour and a half to the nearest shore of the indigenous community of Yorkín. After a 15-minute walk, we will arrive at the village, where community members will welcome us with snacks before we go to the ranch for the night.

In the village, we will take a guided tour to learn about local life and environmental projects. Additionally, we will learn about the cocoa preparation process and will make our own jícara to enjoy tasting the chocolate.

Day 2: Yorkín Indigenous Community - Bribi

After a night in nature, we will have a traditional breakfast and then go on a tour to discover medicinal plants in the area. Next, we will attend an archery class to learn the skill before visiting the Panamanian area of the Yorkín River, where a waterfall awaits for a refreshing swim before lunch.

We will conclude our tour by returning to the meeting point in Bribri around 3 pm.
