Description
At the indicated time, we'll start our guided tour of Bridgetown at the Statue of Errol Barrow in Independence Square. Barrow was the first prime minister of Barbados.
For 2 hours, we'll transport you to the past of the island and explore the surprising history of the capital of Barbados, declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO in 2011. You'll see the colourful buildings of the city.
We'll walk past the Parliament and learn about its role in the former Commonwealth of Nations. You'll also view the cannons in the streets of Bridgetown.
Rihanna was born and raised in the Barbadian capital, specifically in Saint Michael, where she grew up in a typical wooden house, now a tourist attraction. Fans of the singer can see her birthplace.
Next, we'll visit the Synagogue and the Cathedral, built in 1789, and share the history of this monument. We'll also explore a burial ground.
