Description
We'll meet at Plaza Iglesia in Yela at the designated time. From there, we'll start this hiking route through the Quejigares de Barriopedro & Brihuega.
Located in the valley of the central stretch of the Tajuña River, this protected wooded area features a variety of species, such as holm oaks, gall oaks, willows, and poplars. As you explore the landscapes of the province of Guadalajara, we'll share interesting facts about the surroundings.
During the hiking route, you'll see small mammals like genets, wildcats, and badgers. The route is about 13 kilometers long and leads to Civica, a village carved into the rock.
This abandoned site contains caves, terraces, arches, and passages that showcase unique architecture in the Alcarria. Here, you'll learn about the history of this site created by Don Aurelio and the story of Civica.
At the end of the tour, we'll return to the starting point in Yela, arriving after approximately 4 hours.
