On this tour of the Dampier Peninsula, we'll travel through the landscapes of the Kimberly region. Beaches, pearl farms, and Aboriginal legends await.
Dampier Peninsula Tour
We'll pick you up at your hotel in Broome at 7 am and set off towards the north to begin our tour of the Dampier Peninsula. Prepare to see some unique sights and learn about the local culture.
We'll travel along Cape Leveque Road with our first stop at an Aboriginal community in Beagle Bay, visiting the Sacred Heart Church, known for its altar made of pearl shells.
The tour continues to One Arm Point, offering views of the Buccaneer Archipelago. Nearby, we'll find a trochus snail farm, where we will discuss the saltwater traditions of the region.
Next, we visit the Cygnet Bay Pearl Farm, an Australian pearl farm with a notable history. A delicious lunch will be provided there.
After lunch, we'll proceed to Kooljaman Beach, where you can enjoy free time in the area with its striking reddish cliffs.
Lastly, we'll return to Broome, concluding the tour at 7:30 pm.
