Historium Brugge, located in the Grote Markt, is the most visited tourist attraction in Bruges. Your ticket includes access to the permanent Historium Exhibition displaying medieval objects and an audio guide for the interactive Historium Story exhibition. This exhibition reveals the story of Jacob, an apprentice of painter Jan van Eyck, narrated through an audio guide depicting key events from the Golden Age of Bruges in the 14th and 15th centuries, featuring projections, scenery, and special effects that illustrate daily life during the Middle Ages. The full visit lasts approximately one hour.
Virtual reality experience
You can opt for the virtual reality experience for an additional fee, which includes an 8-minute 3D tour of medieval Bruges. The minimum age for this experience is 6 years old.

The opening hours for Historium Brugge and the virtual reality experience are:
Monday to Sunday: 11 am to 6 pmLast access: 1 hour before closing for the museum; 30 minutes before closing for the virtual reality experience.

Children under 15
Children's tickets are for ages 5 to 15, while infant tickets are for those under 5. For the virtual reality option, children's tickets are valid for ages 6 to 15. Infants under 6 can enter Historium Brugge but will not have access to the virtual reality experience.
