Art Nouveau Free Guided Tour
At the indicated time, we'll meet at the Grand Place in Brussels to start our Art Nouveau route through the streets of the Belgian capital.
Our first stop will be in front of the avant-garde facade of the Musical Instruments Museum, which housed the Old England department store in the 19th century. From here, we'll take a tram to Bailli, the district with the highest concentration of modernist buildings in Brussels.
Upon getting off the tram, we'll notice the Tassel Residence, a UNESCO World Heritage Site designed by Belgian architect Victor Horta. This house was the first Art Nouveau building in the world.
We will continue to admire other modernist examples in the neighborhood and stop in front of the Residence of Paul Hankar, an architect known for his Art Nouveau contributions. We will also appreciate the modernist design of the elegant balconies at the Ciamberlani Hotel.
The tour will conclude after 2 hours in front of the Horta Museum, which you are free to visit.
