On this day trip from Brussels you'll get to see two of the most beautiful cities in the Belgian region of Flanders: Antwerp and Ghent.

Day Trip to Antwerp and Ghent

We'll meet outside Brussels Central Station at 8:30 and set off on our bus ride towards the Flanders region. Before leaving the capital we'll make a short stop to admire the famous Atomium, built for the 1958 Brussels World Expo, which is now a landmark of the country.

We will proceed to the historic centre of Antwerp. As we stroll through its monumental area on the banks of the River Scheldt, we will discover the city's Hispanic legacy in the magnificent Antwerp City Hall. Other iconic places include the popular Meir shopping street and Steen castle.

After the guided tour of Antwerp, you'll have around an hour and a half of free time for lunch and additional visits. We recommend the Cathedral of Our Lady, featuring a collection of paintings by Flemish Baroque artist Rubens.

At the arranged time, we will depart for Ghent, the birthplace of Charles V. During our walking tour through Ghent's old town, we will see the Saint-Nicholas Church, Belfry, and Saint Bavo Cathedral, as well as the picturesque Graslei on the banks of the River Lys.

The final stop will be Gravensteen, the Castle of the Counts of Flanders, where you'll have an hour's free time in the old town area. We will return to Brussels, arriving around 6:30 pm.

Children Under 2

Children under 2 years of age must travel on the bus in an infant seat. It is important to bring your own regulation chair for their participation in the activity.
