Flanders Fields Tour
If you're in Brussels and want to visit key sites from the First World War, this tour to Flanders Fields is perfect. At the indicated time, we'll meet on Boulevard de Berlaimont and start our tour.
Between 1914 and 1918, the Flanders Fields were significant on the Western Front. Firstly, we'll visit the German Military Cemetery in Langemark, where over 44,000 soldiers are buried. Additionally, we'll see the Comrades Grave, a highlight of this cemetery.
Next, we will travel to Ypres, where we'll take a break for lunch at a restaurant. Then, we'll visit the Flanders Fields Museum, where you can see trenches and underground refuges and learn about the conditions lived by soldiers.
Afterward, we'll go to the Memorial Museum Passchendaele 1917 in Zonnebeke, which focuses on the Third Battle of Ypres, also known as the Battle of Passchendaele.
We will also explore the Tyne Cot Memorial, the largest cemetery in the Commonwealth of Nations, honoring soldiers who died in the conflict.
To complete our tour, we'll stop at the Monument to the Disappeared at the Menin Gate, a tribute to over 54,000 soldiers without a known grave.
Finally, we'll return to Brussels, concluding the tour after a total of 13 hours.
