Since its opening in 1918, Gellért Bath has become a prominent thermal spa in Europe, widely featured in various media, leading to its renown in Budapest.

The main hall of Gellért Spa showcases a stunning Art Nouveau design, adorned with mosaics and sculptures, making it an iconic representation of Budapest.

Gellért Thermal Bath offers thermal bath pools, swimming pools, dry and steam saunas, a Finnish sauna, massages, and mud packing, among various beauty treatments.

Opening Times

Géllert Spa operates at the following times:

The ticket office is open from 9 am to 6 pm. Entry must be within these hours.The spa is open from 9 am to 7 pm. Pools close half an hour before. Some massages and treatments conclude by 6 pm.On December 24th, 25th, 26th, 31st, and January 1st, hours are reduced; visiting on different days is advised.

Types of Entrance Tickets

Two admission ticket types are available:

VIP entrance: includes a private changing cabin.Standard entrance: includes a locker.

Accessibility

Gellért Spa features six accessible interior pools; however, outside pools are not accessible.

Partial Closures

The outdoor pool is temporarily closed.

Additionally, some thermal pools will be closed for maintenance on these dates:

Thermal pool at 36°C: closed from May 28 to June 1, 2025.Thermal pool at 35°C: closed from June 4 to 8, 2025.Thermal pool at 38°C: closed from June 11 to 15, 2025.
