Masca Ravine Hike
At the scheduled time, we'll meet at the Plaza de Masca to start discovering one of the unique hiking trails on the island.
From this starting point, we'll begin our 6.2-mile (10 km) hiking route that will lead us to the gorge. In total, we'll spend approximately three hours going down and three and a half hours returning.
Our route will start in the Teno Rural Park as we descend through a once volcanic canyon, shaped by 5 million years of flowing water. We'll follow Masca stream, observing the birds overhead and various plant species.
The path will take us to Masca Beach, accessible only by boat or on foot. We'll take a break here to hear the waves against the rocks and view the Los Gigantes cliffs, at 1,476 feet (450 meters). Afterward, we'll begin our ascent up the ravine.
After 6 hours, we'll finish this hike through the Masca ravine, arriving back at the starting point.
Access to the Ravine
