If you're a thrill-seeker, you'll enjoy our paragliding activity in El Quindío, soaring over coffee plantations and taking in stunning views.
El Quindío Paragliding Activity
At your selected time, we'll meet in Plaza de Buenavista in Quindío Department. From there, we will travel to the airstrip at 6,200 feet (1,890 meters) above sea level.
Upon arrival, pilots will outline specific safety protocols and take-off and landing recommendations. After getting fitted with harnesses and helmets, you'll take to the skies!
Enjoy 10 to 15 minutes of flight over the Coffee Cultural Landscape, a mountainous region in Quindío filled with coffee plantations, guaduas, and trumpet trees. During the 4-mile (7-kilometer) route, the pilot will provide information about the municipalities and how locals adapt to the landscape.
Weather permitting, you may have the opportunity to follow the pilot's instructions and manoeuvre the paraglider yourself!
Who can do this activity?
The minimum weight for paragliding is 40 pounds (18 kilograms) and the maximum is 209 pounds (95 kilograms). Pregnant women and individuals who have recently had surgery cannot participate in this activity.
