Buenos Aires Graffiti Tour
The Palermo area of Buenos Aires is the largest neighborhood in the city and one of the most artistic, featuring the Museum of Latin American Art, artisanal markets, and a significant collection of murals and graffiti.
Beginning at Plaza Serrano, the tour explores the city's most impressive graffiti, passing through Palermo's Roussel, Santa Rosa, Gorriti, and Lavalleja to discover the best street art in the city.
Your local guide will explain the long history of this art form in the city, starting from the early 20th century when painters painted political slogans, through the introduction of the aerosol can in the 1960s, and the repression under the dictatorship in the 1970s and 1980s. The revival of graffiti from 2014 has led to local and international artists decorating Palermo's streets, creating an explosion of color. You will see works by Grolou and Dame, Adrián Escandar, and Alfredo Segatori, alongside the Worldwide Wall, an international collaborative art project using stickers.
The tour concludes around 5 pm at the corner of Gorriti and Lavalleja.
