The Buenos Aires graffiti tour introduces participants to the artistic and political essence of the city through its murals.

Buenos Aires Graffiti Tour

The Palermo area is the largest and most artistic neighborhood in Buenos Aires, featuring the Museum of Latin American Art and various markets selling artworks, alongside a remarkable collection of murals and graffiti.

The tour begins at Plaza Serrano, exploring the city's most impressive graffiti while passing through Palermo's Roussel, Santa Rosa, Gorriti, and Lavalleja streets.

A local guide will detail the historical connection between graffiti and the city, highlighting its evolution from early 20th-century political slogans to the aerosol can's introduction in the 1960s, the repression during the 1970s and 1980s, and the art's resurgence thereafter.

Since 2014, the city government has encouraged local and international artists to decorate Palermo's streets, creating a vibrant array of murals. Participants will view works by Grolou and Dame, Adrián Escandar, and Alfredo Segatori, as well as the Worldwide Wall, a collaborative street art effort featuring stickers.

The tour ends at approximately 5 pm at the corner of Gorriti and Lavalleja.
