Montevideo Transport: Ferry + Bus
Set sail from Buenos Aires port on a fast ferry. In 1 hour and 15 minutes, you'll dock at Colonia del Sacramento, where a bus will transport you to Montevideo in 2 hours and 30 minutes. Explore the city at your own pace, including Plaza Independencia, home to key monuments like the Solís Theatre and the Metropolitan Cathedral. Other recommended sites are the Mercado Agrícola, El Prado neighborhood, Playa Pocitos beach, and the Estadio Centenario, significant for South American football fans. Return to Tres Cruces Terminal on General Artigas Boulevard for the bus back to Colonia del Sacramento, then take the ferry to Buenos Aires.
