Market Tour Details
At the designated time, we'll meet at the entrance to the Franciscan Museum of Monseñor Fray José María Bottaro, on Calle Adolfo Alsina, 380, in front of the Basilica of Saint Francis.
From here, we'll head over to the San Telmo Market, which has been a meeting point for locals and tourists since 1897.
We'll begin by walking down Calle de la Defensa, one of the oldest streets in the city, discussing its history and making a stop at the Manuel Belgrano mausoleum. Next, we'll visit the famous Mafalda Statue for a photo opportunity.
Upon arriving at the San Telmo Market, you'll discover row upon row of colorful stalls selling local products, including meats, fruits, fresh vegetables, antiques, books, and vintage cameras.
We will stop at a popular eatery specializing in Choripán, a chorizo sausage sandwich. Here, you'll try this snack and an empanada, paired with a glass of wine.
Our next visit will be to a traditional stall selling 'dulce de leche', where you'll taste an authentic Argentinian alfajor and receive a small surprise gift to conclude the tour.
After 3 hours, we'll end this tour at the San Telmo Market.
