Market Tour Details
At the designated time, we'll meet at the entrance to the Franciscan Museum of Monseñor Fray José María Bottaro, on Calle Adolfo Alsina, 380, in front of the Basilica of Saint Francis.
From here, we'll head over to the San Telmo Market. Since 1897, this building has been a popular meeting point for locals and tourists in Buenos Aires.
We'll start by walking down Calle de la Defensa, discussing the city's history and stopping at the Manuel Belgrano mausoleum. Then, we'll continue towards the famous Mafalda Statue for a photo opportunity.
Finally, we'll arrive at our main destination: the San Telmo Market. Inside this historic building, you will find market stalls selling local products, including meats, fruits, vegetables, antiques, books, and vintage cameras.
We'll stroll among the stalls and stop at a popular eatery specializing in the Choripán, a chorizo sausage sandwich. Here, we'll try one while enjoying an empanada and a glass of wine.
Our next stop will be at a traditional stall selling 'dulce de leche', where you'll taste an authentic Argentinian alfajor, along with a surprise gift to conclude the tour.
After 3 hours, we'll end this tour at the San Telmo Market.
