Delve deep into the mountain landscapes of Transylvania and Wallachia on this full-day trip from Bucharest. Explore Bran, known as Dracula's Castle, and the Peles palace-castle.

Day Trip Details

After being picked up from your hotel or meeting point in Bucharest, we will head north through the forests of Transylvania. Our first stop will be in Sinaia to visit the Peles Castle, the summer residence of the Romanian royal family. The tour will cover the halls decorated at the end of the 19th century.

Next, we will proceed to the historic city of Bra?ov. Upon arrival, you will have 1.5 hours of free time to explore the city center or have lunch at local restaurants.

After lunch, we will visit Bran's Castle to learn about Vlad “The Impaler”, the character that inspired Bram Stoker’s “Dracula”. You will explore the corridors and understand the development of this myth.

Following our exploration of Bran's Castle, we will return to Bucharest while enjoying scenic views.

Tickets

Tickets are not included in the tour price. It is recommended to purchase them in advance, particularly on weekends and public holidays. Book at least 7 days in advance, but not earlier than 30 days before the visit. Last minute bookings may result in unavailability for Peles Castle; in such cases, Peli?or Castle can be visited instead.

For Peles Castle, select a time slot between 9 am and 11:45 am for entry. No time slot is needed for Bran Castle.

Itinerary Changes

Peles Castle is closed on Mondays and Tuesdays. On these days, the tour will view Peles Castle from the outside, and visit an exhibition on medieval torture instruments in Bran as an alternative. The itinerary is subject to change based on traffic and seasonal events. Expect long lines during peak season.
