Dracula's Castle & Peles Castle Day Trip from Bucharest

Delve deep into the beautiful mountain landscapes of Transylvania and Wallachia on this full-day trip from Bucharest, exploring Bran, known as Dracula's Castle, and Peles Palace-Castle.

Day Trip Details

After being picked up from your hotel or chosen meeting point in Bucharest, we'll head north through the mythical forests of Transylvania.

Our first stop is in Sinaia to visit the imposing Peles Castle, a summer residence of the Romanian royal family. You'll tour the halls, decorated as per the taste of the end of the 19th century, when King Charles I began its construction.

Next, we will visit the historic city of Bra?ov, where you will have 1.5 hours of free time to explore the historic center or dine at local restaurants.

After lunch, we will travel to Bran's Castle to learn about Vlad “The Impaler”, the inspiration for Bram Stoker's novel, “Dracula”. You'll gain insight into the myth and the character's cultural significance as you explore the castle.

After visiting Bran's Castle, we will return to Bucharest while enjoying scenic views.

Tickets

Tickets are not included in the tour price and should be purchased in advance due to high demand. We recommend booking at least 7 days prior, but no earlier than 30 days. Last-minute bookings may require an alternative visit to Peli?or Castle if tickets for Peles Castle are unavailable.

Itinerary Changes

Peles Castle is closed on Mondays and Tuesdays. If your tour falls on these days, we will view Peles Castle from outside and visit an exhibition on medieval torture instruments in Bran instead.

The itinerary may change due to traffic and seasonal events. Expect potential long lines during peak seasons.
