Transylvania 2-Day Tour
Day 1
After being picked up in the morning from your hotel in Bucharest, you will depart for Transylvania, a journey of approximately two-and-a-half hours by bus. The first stop is Sinaia, known for Peles Castle, built between 1873 and 1914. This complex served as the summer palace for the Romanian royal family and now functions as a museum.
The next stop is the mysterious Bran Castle, associated with Count Dracula. Here, a guided tour provides insights into the fortress's history and its connection to Bram Stoker's novel. Following your visit, enjoy free time for lunch before heading to Brasov, where you will explore the historic center and landmarks like the Black Church, a prime example of Gothic architecture in Romania. Overnight in Brasov.
Day 2
Start with breakfast, then board a bus to Sighisoara, the city of Dracula. Discover its vibrant streets and traditional houses, learning about Bram Stoker's history. Next, visit Rupea Citadel, famous for its defensive history and panoramic views.
Your next destination depends on the season. From November to May, visit Prejmer to see its impressive World Heritage Site church. From June to October, drive along the Transf?g?r??an, one of the world's most winding roads.
The tour concludes with a return to Bucharest after two days.
Accommodation
You will stay at the Bella Musica Hotel, a 3-star hotel, or an equivalent if unavailable.
Please Note
The return trip via the Transfagarasan Highway occurs from June 30 to October 30, subject to weather conditions. From December 1 to May 31, the tour stops at Prejmer instead of traveling along the Transf?g?r??an highway.
