In this activity, we will observe the night sky in the Vetón forest of Cabezabellosa and learn to interpret the constellations from mythological and scientific perspectives.

Cabezabellosa Astronomy Tour

Shortly after sunset, we will meet at the indicated point, located a few metres from the natural observatory of the Vetón forest of Cabezabellosa. This location, at an altitude of 900 metres (2952 feet), offers clear views of the night sky due to minimal light pollution.

We will identify the most significant stars and learn the names and meanings of the constellations. Attendees will discover new celestial bodies while listening to ancient myths related to cosmology. We will also approach the stars scientifically, discussing the physical processes associated with the formation of stars and other space objects over millions of years.

After two hours of stargazing, we will conclude the activity by returning to the starting point.
