Beagle Channel Kayak Tour with Sea Lion Watching
At 9 am, we will pick you up from your hotel in Puerto Williams and drive you to a campsite located 19 miles (30 kilometers) west of the city.
Upon arrival, a safety briefing will be provided. Participants will be equipped with waterproofs, wetsuits, life jackets, and other necessary gear before entering the kayaks to explore the Beagle Channel, which connects the Atlantic and Pacific Oceans.
After practice paddles in a sheltered bay, we will paddle through open water, taking in the stunning beaches and steep cliffs of the Chilean part of the Beagle Channel. The channel also serves as a natural border with Argentina within the Tierra del Fuego archipelago.
We will proceed to an islet with seabirds and a large colony of sea lions that often swim and dive among the kayaks for a close-up experience.
The tour concludes with a return to the campsite, where participants will enjoy a picnic lunch featuring local products and a craft beer, along with an option for coffee, tea, or mate.
We will then transport you back to your hotel in Puerto Williams, arriving by 5 pm.
