Beagle Channel Kayak Tour with Sea Lion Watching
At 9 am, we will pick you up from your hotel in Puerto Williams and drive 19 miles (30 kilometers) to the campsite.
Upon arrival, a safety briefing will be provided, after which you'll be equipped with waterproofs, wetsuits, life jackets, and other necessary gear before entering the kayaks to explore the Beagle Channel. This passage links the Atlantic and Pacific Oceans and is ideal for kayaking.
After practice paddles in a sheltered bay, we will navigate open waters, admiring beaches and steep cliffs in the Chilean part of the Beagle Channel, which serves as a natural border with Argentina within the Tierra del Fuego archipelago.
We will then visit an islet inhabited by seabirds and a large colony of sea lions, where you can see these mammals up close as they swim and dive around the kayaks.
The tour concludes with our return to the campsite for a picnic lunch, featuring local products and a craft beer, along with your choice of coffee, tea or mate.
We will return you to your hotel in Puerto Williams, arriving by 5 pm.
