Beagle Channel Kayak Tour with Sea Lion Watching
At 9 am, we will pick you up from your hotel in Puerto Williams and drive to a campsite located 19 miles (30 kilometres) west of the city.
Upon arrival, you will receive a safety briefing and will be equipped with waterproofs, wetsuits, life jackets and other necessary gear before we begin exploring the Beagle Channel, which links the Atlantic and Pacific Oceans.
Following a few practice paddles in a sheltered bay, we will row through open water, admiring beaches and steep cliffs in the Chilean part of the Beagle Channel, which serves as a natural border with Argentina.
After becoming accustomed to kayaking, we will visit an islet home to seabirds and a large colony of sea lions, which often interact with kayaks.
The tour concludes with a return to the campsite for a picnic lunch featuring local products and a craft beer, alongside options for coffee, tea or mate.
We will return you to your hotel in Puerto Williams by 5 pm.
