Beagle Channel Kayak Tour with Sea Lion Watching
At 9 am, we will pick you up from your hotel in Puerto Williams and drive you to a campsite located 19 miles (30 kilometers) west of the city.
Upon arrival, a safety briefing will be provided. Participants will be equipped with waterproofs, wetsuits, life jackets, and other necessary gear before starting the kayaking adventure in the Beagle Channel, a narrow passage linking the Atlantic and Pacific Oceans.
After practice paddling in a sheltered bay, we will row through open water, enjoying the scenic beaches and steep cliffs in the Chilean part of the Beagle Channel, which also serves as a natural border with Argentina within the Tierra del Fuego archipelago.
Once comfortable with kayaking, we will visit an islet populated by seabirds and a large colony of sea lions, allowing for close encounters with these mammals.
The tour concludes with our return to the campsite for a picnic lunch featuring local products and a craft beer, alongside options for coffee, tea, or mate.
We will then return you to your hotel in Puerto Williams by 5 pm.
