The stunning landscapes of Tierra del Fuego in Chile are a sight to behold. Join us as we explore the remarkable beauty of Navarino Island and its exquisite natural surroundings in the southernmost region of the world. Let the adventure begin!
Tour of Navarino Island
Our journey begins with a convenient pickup from your accommodation in Puerto Williams at 3:30 pm, leading us into the heart of Navarino Island.
This tour spans a total of 15.5 miles (25 kilometers) and includes numerous stops for you to appreciate the breathtaking vistas. Nestled in the Chilean section of the Tierra del Fuego archipelago, this Patagonian island sits along the southern edge of the Beagle Channel. Here, you will experience incredible views of the channel, which serves as a natural divide between the Atlantic and Pacific Oceans and marks the border with Argentina.
The geographical closeness of these nations was a contributing factor to the Beagle conflict. Along the tour, you'll encounter remnants from this historical dispute, alongside significant archaeological sites left by the Yaghan People, one of the world’s southernmost indigenous groups.
In addition to exploring the history and ecosystem of Navarino Island, we'll also identify the coastal bird species that thrive within this area of the Cape Horn Biosphere Reserve (RBCH).
Our itinerary culminates at a scenic viewpoint, where you can savor a selection of local delicacies paired with a delightful beer. After this tasting experience, we'll return you to your hotel in Puerto Williams by 7:30 pm.
