Tour Details

We'll meet in the Plaza de San Juan de Dios to begin an exciting tour of two important monuments of the city's golden age.

After a brief stroll through the Old Town and passing under the Arco de la Rosa, you'll reach the Cádiz Cathedral, known as the "New Cathedral". It was constructed to accommodate a growing population after the previous church became too small. Its architectural styles range from Baroque to Rococo to Neoclassical, reflecting 116 years of construction.

Next, you'll visit the Torre Tavira, the tallest tower in Cádiz's old town. After admiring its baroque architecture, we'll ascend one of its 129 lookout towers for a panoramic view of the city and the bay.

Tavira Tower also features a Cámara Oscura, where you'll experience a live, moving projection of the outside landscape through a periscope, creating an impressive optical illusion.

Cathedral Museum

The tour includes admission to the Cathedral Museum but will not visit it during the tour. You'll be free to visit it at your own pace after the tour, without the guide.
