The Day Pass includes a D-Day tour and admission to the Caen Mémorial Museum. Details of each component are as follows:
The D-Day tour
This tour operates on the date selected during reservation. Participants will meet at the specified time at the entrance of the Caen Mémorial Museum. From the museum, a minibus will transport guests to key sites of the Normandy Landings that occurred on June 6, 1944.
The tour will begin at Pointe du Hoc, followed by a visit to Omaha Beach to observe remaining landmarks. It concludes with a trip to Colleville-sur-Mer to visit the Normandy American Cemetery before returning to the museum, lasting approximately 5 hours.
Ticket to Caen Mémorial
The Day Pass also provides admission to the Caen Mémorial, allowing self-guided exploration. The museum focuses on the Second World War, the Normandy Landings, and the Cold War, featuring both temporary and permanent exhibitions with items such as weaponry, uniforms, vehicles, maps, and propaganda posters.
Visitors can access the museum on the same day as the D-Day tour, before the tour, or on the following day.
The museum's operating hours are:
1st April - 30th September 2024: Monday-Sunday, 9 am - 7 pm1-31st October 2024: Monday-Sunday, 9 am - 6 pm1st November - 31st December 2024: Everyday except Monday, with exceptions on 11th November, 23rd December, and 30th December, 9 am - 6 pm.
