Sella del Diavolo Hiking Experience in Cagliari
Our meeting point is set at 76 Largo Carlo Felice in Cagliari, where we will commence our journey with a bus ride to the Sella del Diavolo. Upon arriving at the base of this striking rocky promontory, we'll disembark and embark on our hike.
Are you aware of the origin of the name Sella del Diavolo, translated as the Devil's Saddle? According to legend, it is the site of a celestial battle where angels, led by archangel Michael, triumphed over the devil, who fled but left his saddle behind.
During our two-hour hike across this magnificent promontory, we’ll explore its natural wonders. Along the way, you will encounter intriguing remnants of past civilizations, including a temple believed to have belonged to Astarte, the Sant'Elia Tower, and a fort dating back to World War II.
Once we reach the summit, the astonishing panorama of the Golfo degli Angeli will make the climb rewarding! After soaking in the spectacular scenery, we will descend back to our original meeting point in Cagliari.
