Cagliari Sella del Diavolo Hike
We'll meet in Piazza Yenne square in Cagliari at the selected time and set off on a bus ride to the Sella del Diavolo. Upon arrival at the base of this rocky headland, we will begin the hike.
The name Sella del Diavolo, meaning the Devil's Saddle, originates from a legend about a battle between angels and the devil, led by the archangel Michael. The devil, defeated, left behind his saddle.
The hike will last for two hours across this promontory, allowing us to discover its natural beauty along with historical ruins, including a temple believed to be dedicated to Astarte, the Sant'Elia Tower, and a fort from World War II.
At the summit, a view of the Golfo degli Angeli will be the highlight of our ascent. After taking in the scenery, we will return to the starting point in Cagliari.
