Tour Details

Early in the morning, pickup will be from your hotel in Cairns. We will take you to a site where the hot air balloon is prepared for the ride, which lasts approximately one hour.

Upon arrival, you will witness the inflation of the balloons and then enter the basket for your aerial adventure.

As we ascend, enjoy the sunrise and breathtaking panoramic views of the Atherton Plateau and surrounding mountains. Get your cameras ready to capture this moment.

After about 40 minutes of flight over Cairns, we will descend and return you to your hotel.

Hot Air Balloon + Funicular and Panoramic Train Ride

For a more comprehensive experience, consider the option that includes a funicular and panoramic train ride.

After the balloon ride, we will proceed to the Skyrail station and board a funicular to enjoy panoramic views of Cairns and the Kuranda Ranges.

A walk through the forest will follow, leading us to the second funicular at the Red Peak stop and onto the Barron Falls station, where the interpretation centre is located.

Next, we will head to the town of Kuranda, where you will have free time to explore local markets and attractions such as the Butterfly Sanctuary or the Venom Zoo.

We will then board the panoramic train for a 1.5-hour journey along the mining railway line down the Macalister Range, passing Barron Falls.

After arriving at Cairns Central Station, the tour will conclude after a total of 12 hours.
