Tour Details

Early in the morning, we'll pick you up from your hotel in Cairns. From there, we'll take you to a clearing where the hot air balloon will be waiting for the ride. The ride will take approximately one hour.

When we arrive at our destination, we'll witness the balloons being inflated and then climb into the basket to begin this exciting aerial adventure.

Gradually, we'll begin to soar into the sky as we watch the sun peek over the horizon, offering breathtaking panoramic views of the Atherton Plateau and surrounding jungle. Get your cameras ready!

After around 40 minutes of flying over the Cairns area, we'll descend with the balloon and take you back to your hotel.

Hot Air Balloon + Funicular and Panoramic Train Ride

If you want an even more complete experience, we recommend booking this option, which includes a funicular and panoramic train ride.

After the balloon ride, we'll head to the Skyrail station. From there, we'll board a funicular that provides breathtaking views of Cairns and the Kuranda Ranges.

Next, we'll walk through the forest to the second funicular at the Red Peak stop and then reach the Barron Falls station with its interpretation centre.

We'll continue our journey to the town of Kuranda and its markets. You'll have free time to explore this town, with options like visiting the Butterfly Sanctuary or taking a boat ride on the Kuranda River.

Finally, we'll board the panoramic train for a 1.5-hour journey down the Macalister Range, seeing Barron Falls and bridges that wind between mountains. We'll conclude our tour at Cairns Central Station after a total of 12 hours.
