Boipeba Island Whale-Watching

Description

We will meet at the scheduled time at the Pousada Pérola do Atlântico, where an expert oceanographer will give us an informative talk about the humpback whales that inhabit the waters off the coast of Bahía.

After the talk, we will head to Boca da Barra or Quteiro Beach, depending on the weather conditions. Once there, we will take a boat ride around the north-west coast of the island. This boat ride will last around 2 hours, providing an opportunity for humpback whale-watching.

During the ride, we will observe these native whales, which can reach up to 15 meters (49 feet) in length and 40 tonnes in weight. The expert oceanographer onboard will share interesting facts about these whales.

Afterward, we will leave the whale observation area, and those who wish can take a refreshing dip in the Atlantic. The tour will conclude back at the meeting point after a total duration of 5 hours.
