At the indicated time, we'll pick you up at your hotel in Cajamarca. After a 3-hour drive, we'll arrive in Cajabamba, where we'll stop for breakfast on your own. We'll then head towards the archaeological site of Marcahuamachuco.

Marcahuamachuco is known as the Machu Picchu of the north, located on a mountain plain at an altitude of 3600 metres (11811 feet) above sea level. The construction began in 500 BC , and it was a significant commercial centre in pre-Inca times. We will tour the three hills of the complex, starting with the Cerro del Castillo, where we will see a fortress surrounded by galleries.

After the tour, there will be a break for lunch at a local restaurant before returning to the starting point, concluding the experience after a total of 16 hours of hiking.
