Ventanillas of Otuzco Day Trip

Pickup will be at your hotel in Cajamarca at 3:30 pm. Our journey begins with a drive to the village of Otuzco, crossing the suspension bridge over the Chonta River. Located just 4 miles (7 kilometers) from the village, the famous Ventanillas de Otuzco features over 300 tombs carved into volcanic rock.

This ancient cemetery belonged to the Caxamarca culture, which predated the Incas. During the visit, observe the window-shaped niches and learn about the mysteries they contain.

Next, we will visit Hacienda Tres Molinos, a traditional farm producing dairy products like cheese, butter, and blancmange. The farm features an outdoor area with a hydrangea garden displaying various flowers and fruits.

After the tour, enjoy free time to taste local delicacies and take a horseback ride around the hacienda. The return to your hotel will be around 7 am.
