Description

We'll collect you from your hotel in Calama at the scheduled time to begin this tour around Alto del Loa. We will travel in a 4x4 towards Santa Margarita, approximately 21 kilometres (13.04 miles) southeast of Calama, where we will see marble quarries and the Loa River.

Next, we will stop at Ayquina, located around 3000 metres (9842.51 ft.) above sea level. Here, we will learn about the Likanatay aboriginal community and their traditions.

At 1:30 pm, we will arrive at Puente del Diablo to observe a rock fissure that connects the Andes to the desert. Our next destination is the Inka Coya Lagoon, associated with a legend of a love story between a princess and Inca Atahualpa Yupanqui.

At 3 pm, we will arrive at San Francisco de Chiu Chiu, where you will have an hour of free time to eat. This location is within an oasis in the Antofagasta region and features the oldest church in Chile.
