Rafting at Cañón de Almadenes

We will meet at the Venta Esperanza restaurant situated between Calasparra and Jumilla. From there, we will proceed to the activity's starting point.

For those new to rafting, an introductory talk will cover how to navigate with the paddles. After learning the technique, participants will be equipped with life vests and helmets before boarding the rafts.

The tour includes a level 1 rafting section on the Segura river, specifically the canyon of Almadenes, which is a Protected Natural Area. Along the way, information regarding the biodiversity and the riparian forest will be shared.

Several stops will be made to explore local attractions, including Abrigos del Pozo, where the cave of the Monigotes is located. This site, known for its prehistoric paintings, offers a cave art workshop.

Additional stops include the Cueva de las Nutrias, known for its otters. The adventure continues through Paraje de la Maestra and the Alfonso XII Reservoir, concluding at La Mulata Dam after approximately 3 hours.
