Rafting at Cañón de Almadenes
We will meet at the Parking Rafting - Cañón y Cañón at the designated time and proceed to the starting point of the activity.
If this is your first time rafting, we will provide an introductory talk on how to navigate with the paddles. After the briefing, you will be equipped with a life vest and helmet before getting into the rafts.
We will navigate through a level 1 rafting section on the most scenic stretch of the Segura River in the canyon of Almadenes, a Protected Natural Area. Along the way, we will share information about the biodiversity and riparian forest of this region.
During the tour, we will stop several times to explore regional highlights, such as Abrigos del Pozo, featuring the cave of the Monigotes, a World Heritage Site known for its prehistoric paintings. Participants can join a cave art workshop here.
We will also visit the Cueva de las Nutrias, home to otters, before returning to the raft and continuing through Paraje de la Maestra and the Alfonso XII Reservoir until we reach La Mulata Dam, concluding this 3-hour adventure.
