Rafting at Cañón de Almadenes

We will meet at the Parking Rafting - Cañón y Cañón at the designated time and then proceed to the activity's starting point.

If this is your first time rafting, an introductory talk will cover how to navigate with the paddles. After learning the technique, participants will equip themselves with a life vest and helmet before getting into the rafts.

The rafting route includes a level 1 rafting section on the Segura river, passing through the canyon of Almadenes, a Protected Natural Area. Participants will learn about the local biodiversity and riparian forest.

Stops during the tour will allow exploration of sites such as Abrigos del Pozo, home to the cave of the Monigotes, a World Heritage Site for its prehistoric paintings. A cave art workshop will be included.

Another stop will be at the Cueva de las Nutrias, known for its otters. The river journey continues through Paraje de la Maestra and the Alfonso XII Reservoir, ending at La Mulata Dam after a 3-hour adventure.
