The tour begins at Plazoleta Jairo Varela at the scheduled time. Attendees will explore Afro-Antillean rhythms and learn how salsa influenced Colombia throughout the 20th century. Cali is often referred to as the salsa capital of the world.

Participants will take a minibus to a working-class neighborhood of Cali to discover how these rhythms have influenced salsa music globally.

The tour includes visits to several viejotecas, or 'old clubs,' to experience traditional salsa in Cali. Attendees will watch local dancers demonstrate their skills and learn various salsa choreography from them.

After four and a half hours of immersion in salsa, the tour will conclude at the final venue visited.
