On this hiking route through the Malacara Canyon from Cambará do Sul, we will explore one of the prominent canyons in southern Brazil.
Hiking route highlights
We will pick you up from your hotel in Cambará do Sul and travel south in a 4x4. After a 40-minute ride, we will arrive at Serra Geral National Park to begin our hiking route along the Malacara Canyon.
The hiking route is 6 kilometers (3.7 miles) long and showcases the most spectacular canyons in southern Brazil. It has a medium level of difficulty, allowing us to see various local plant species such as bromeliads, fig trees, and cinnamon trees. We will also observe unique local fauna, including toucans and thrushes, while enjoying a slow pace to appreciate the natural beauty.
At the end of the hike, we will reach the natural pools in Malacara Canyon, where you will have one hour of free time to bathe in the crystal-clear waters.
After resting, we will retrace our route back to the national park entrance. Our vehicle will be ready to transport you back to Cambará do Sul, concluding an invigorating 4 to 5 hours of adventure.
