- 1 Bewertung
On this day trip to São José dos Ausentes, we'll visit the tallest point in Rio Grande do Sul. We'll admire its landscapes and the southern Brazilian coast.
Description
At the indicated time, we'll pick you up from your hotel in Cambará do Sul and travel in a 4x4 vehicle to São José dos Ausentes. The name of this small town in central Rio Grande do Sul has an interesting history.
During the journey, we'll share the town's fascinating history. São José dos Ausentes was once the largest ranch in the region, covering over 1000 square kilometers (386 square miles) before it was abandoned by its owners.
Upon arrival, we'll head to Pico do Monte Negro and start a short 4-kilometre (2.5 miles) hiking route to reach the highest point in the state.
From 1043 metres (3421 feet) above sea level, we will have views of the Monte Negro Canyon, and if it’s clear, we’ll also see the Rio Grande do Sul and Santa Catarina coast.
Later, we'll return by 4x4 to a farm for a buffet-style lunch. After lunch, we'll visit the Rodriges waterfall and explore the Cerro Maracujá and the fields of Cima da Serra.
Finally, we'll return to Cambará do Sul and conclude this day trip after 10 hours of activity at your hotel.
