Harvard Walking Tour
At your selected time, we'll meet at the Harvard metro, located at 1376 Massachusetts Ave. Here your tour guides, current students, will take you to the symbolic Johnson Gate, one of the campus entrances.
During the tour, we won't be able to go inside the buildings, but we will admire the beautiful façades and grounds.
We'll stop in front of the statue of John Harvard, the university's first benefactor. You can carry out the tradition of touching the statue's foot for good luck, a practice done by notable figures including Obama, Kennedy, and Roosevelt.
Next, we'll go to the Memorial Hall, built in honor of Harvard students who fought during the American Civil War. The tour will pass by the Widener Library, which contains over three million books.
We'll also admire the Memorial Church and the Harvard Lampoon headquarters, a student magazine first published in 1876, where important writers like John Updike and Conan O'Brien began their careers.
Finally, we will finish the tour at the emblematic Winthrop Park after an hour and 10 minutes.
