Harvard Walking Tour
At your selected time, we'll meet at the Harvard metro, located at 1376 Massachusetts Ave. Your tour guides, current students, will take you to the symbolic Johnson Gate, one of the campus entrances.
During the tour, we won't be able to go inside the buildings, but we will admire the beautiful façades and grounds.
We'll stop in front of the statue of John Harvard, the university's first benefactor. To feel like a student at this prestigious Ivy League university, touch the statue's foot for good luck, as many notable figures have done.
Next, we'll go to the Memorial Hall, a Victorian building honoring Harvard students who fought in the American Civil War. The tour will also pass by the Widener Library, the largest on campus, which contains over three million books.
We'll admire the Memorial Church and the Harvard Lampoon headquarters, a student magazine first published in 1876. Important writers and editors began their careers here.
Finally, we will finish the tour at the emblematic Winthrop Park after an hour and 10 minutes.
