Aguada Island Dolphin Watching

In this activity from Campeche, we will enjoy a boat ride to see dolphins near Aguada Island, located on the west coast of the Yucatan.

Aguada Island Dolphin Watching

At 9 am, we will pick you up at the Ocean View Hotel in Campeche. From there, we will travel by road to the fishermen's pier next to the boardwalk of Aguada Island.

Upon arrival at the pier, we will embark on a boat ride along the coast of Aguada Island to see bottlenose dolphins. These friendly cetaceans can reach speeds of up to 6 knots (6.9 mph or 11 kph).

We will then navigate through the interior of the Términos Lagoon, making a stop at Isla de los Pájaros (Bird Island), where you will have 2 hours free to swim and relax. Please bring your picnic.

While on Bird Island, you can also view the diverse bird species in the area. The ecosystem serves as a habitat for numerous species, which we will help you identify.

Finally, we will return by boat to the pier of Aguada Island and travel back to San Francisco de Campeche. Arrival at the starting point is scheduled for 5 pm.

The coast of Aguada Island and Ciudad del Carmen is known for dolphin and cetacean sightings. However, the number of visible dolphins may vary due to factors such as weather and breeding seasons.
